WWII Soldier's Guide to Iraq

Really great article. The "soldier" and "individual" paradigm from WWII, in no place else but Iraq.

Hat tip Black Five.

Odin, your "friends" have been chatting about you.

This guy was in our military?

No wonder it's so fucked up.

Why you and Federalist insist on bringing this bunch along for the ride is beyond me. We once banned them from A9, you'll probably have the same problem here. But I don't think you can ban on blogspot.

Just letting you know ahead of time.

yep....you'd be better off letting master Blogger phocion pick your friends for you Odin.

I guess I should have been a tattle-tale too and told you how phocion acted like he was being put out by Fed's request for him to post an announcement at A9 of your new blog.

I have no intentions of being disruptive here, but ain't it funny how phocion condemns us.....but still reads RR?

Everyone loves the Gorilla cage at the zoo. Am I not entitled to watch too?

If you do want the ability to ban troublemakers like Phocion here Odin, you have two options.

If you stick with the built in Blogger commenting system you can enable moderation. Thats kind of draconian because no comments will be shown here until you personally approve each one. The advantages of sticking with Blogger comments...unlimited comment length and you dont have to worry about a third-party server being down, which happens occasionally with haloscan.

Or you could install Haloscan here. It will allow you to ban some commenters' IP addresses. I like haloscan better because you can monitor the comments across all threads from a single interface....you dont have to visit every thread to see if you have new comments, and you can go back and edit all comments.

The Haloscan IP ban is defeatable though....if Phocion thinks he has the option of banning me at A9 he / she is mistaken.

But if you're considering switching to haloscan...the sooner the better...because when you do you're going to lose all these comments.

Maybe master blogger Phocion can tell you how to install Halsocans on the new blogger....if not e-mail me, I will be happy to help.
